Transformerless Structure

Use of transformerless technology results in a significant reduction in volume and weight of the UPS also improving the important ratio between power and foot print of the UPS. Because there is no transformer at the output of the inverter, the electrical losses of equipment decrease and efficiency increases. Increased efficiency lowers the cost of consumed electricity. In addition a transformerless UPS has lower accoustic noise. DC voltage level of traditional UPS is low, so in order to generate enough AC voltage at output, it needs a step up transformer in the inverter. The DC voltage level in transformerless UPS is already high enough, so there is no need for a step up transformer to be used.

  • High output power factor (PF=0.9)

15% more power at the output in comparison to standard 0.7 power factor UPS systems. Can support more equipment.

  • ECO Mode

Eco Mode enables the unit to supply the loads straight from the AC mains. In case of AC mains failure, the system will supply the load using battery power. In this way the efficiency is close to 100%. Eco Mode is used in less demanding applications.

  • Flexible Setup

The Hi-tech Pro II X9 series is a unit with high flexibility in adapting input and output, and may easily be set up depending on the requirements of the facility:

    • Three phase input / three phase output (3/3) only factory configurable
  • Parallel operation

Up to 3 units can be connected in parallel without additional hardware, to accommodate increased power demands as well as to attain power redundancy with high system integrity. All UPS ratings in the parallel system must be equal. Each UPS in the parallel system is controlled independently. Therefore the unit’s specific values, such as load sharing and mains synchronization are observed and controlled by each UPS control system making the necessary corrections.

  • Access

Considerations should be given for UPS design in several key areas, including electrical usages, communications, output compatibility, ratings, reliability etc., without any comprom, optimizing the UPS for easy maintenance. That is why important consideration has been given allowing generous access to the unit’s electronic cards and power components. At the same time, usage of sub-assembled units in the DC power bus and control section means less component count and results in less connection interfaces.
