Transformer Battery Chargers are AC / DC rectifiers with automatic constant voltage and constant current. This rectifiers are produced with 6 and 12 pulse according to application requirements. The biggest advantage of the 12 pulse rectifier groups is better input power factor than 0.9 and less input current harmonic than 10%. Also 18 and 24 pulse rectifiers can produce regarding to your request.

Output current, battery charging current, boost and float charging voltages can be adjusted via LCD front panel. Functions such as smart Boost charging can be easily activated via LCD front panel or remote communication.

Remote communication options are available via ModBus RS485 or ProfiBus.

The AC ripple on the DC output is provided under 1% with the optional L-C filters in the output. In that way, the desigin life of the charged battery group can maximized. Inputs and outputs can be individually control via circuit breakers. In addition, the required data can be provided with dry contacts output.

Transformer Battery Chargers, Over current, high voltage, over temperature, short circuit and current limitation protection systems are available. In addition, the input and output connections of the Battery Chargers are in the cabin and they are protected by suitable fuses.

How to make rectifier selection ?

Rectifier selection should be made based on 10-20% of the battery capacity.To give an example, if you have a 12V 100A battery, rectifier capacty should be 10-20A. (This capacity can change regarding to battery charging rates which is stated in battery catalogue.)
